Overview:

Railway Electrical Services were contracted by Babcock to provide electrical LV services and associated works in connection with the main switchboard, main cables, LV power distribution, lighting and Shore supplies at Cadder Yard Depot.

Our works included the following activities:

Supply, Installation, test & commissioning of Electrical LV works;

  • Supply, Installation, test & commissioning of 400V 3-phase train Shore Supply for use by High-Speed Trains for six stabling roads, including Main Switchboard, ground boxes, lineside pillars and plug stowage units.
  • Central Battery System for emergency backup for servicing and cleaning roads lighting & control systems.
  • Access Road, General Yard area, Walkway, Servicing Road, Stabling/Cleaning roads lighting.
  • Power supplies to new plant rooms and depot equipment.
  • Main LV switchboard.
  • Cable management systems where required.
  • Feeder pillar distribution cabinets.
  • Load shedding unit as part of the operational strategy.
  • Earthing and Bonding.
  • All LV equipment.
  • Track continuity bonding.
