Overview

We were contracted by Siemens for the delivery of GRIP 5- 8 for NWEP Trafford Park Re-signalling.

Our scope of works covered:

  • Modified PSP at Throstles Nest
  • Provision of new DNO & ASP at Flixton
  • 650V feeder testing, including MICOM injection testing and feeder short circuit testing
  • Renewal of points heating at Trafford Park East Junction
  • Renewal of points heating at Trafford Park West Junction
  • LV supply for new REB CLC 31M058

The signalling power distribution system architecture for the scheme was developed as a manually reconfigurable dual end fed distribution from the existing PSP at Throstles Nest via a new ASP at Flixton, the new feeder was provided with a MICOM Agile P14DL fault detection device.
