Our Finance Director Keith Hudson is taking part in this year’s London Marathon, a 20 mile race and a number of ½ Marathons in 2018 to raise money for CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. Their care teams have been providing specialist support across the UK for years.
Keith will be pushing himself to the limit as in 2018 he plans to run:
- Stockport Trail ½ Marathon in March-18 (already completed)
- Ashby 20-mile race, this Sunday 18th March
- The London Marathon, 5 weeks on Sunday
- Derby ½ marathon in June
- Great North Run in September
- Euro Disney ½ marathon in September
- Amsterdam ½ marathon in October
In setting the above challenge, he is hoping to do something he has never done before by running over 1,000 miles in a calendar year (his previous best was around 800).
Keith said “As of the 1st Jan 2018 I had never run further than 10 miles in one go and the reason I’m going a bit crazy this year by running 5x ½ marathons, 1x 20 mile race and 1x marathon, is to try and raise as much money for the children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent. A charity that supported and still support a family very close to me whose daughter passed away in 2016”
